As a web-developer and database programmer I discovered a need that I could not find an adequate solution for. While creating database driven websites using Microsoft Access or Microsoft SQL Server I found that it was a hassle to manage the databases remotely across the Internet. To modify, create or delete tables in Microsoft Access, or even to have direct access to the data, I had to download the Access file to my local machine, make the changes and then upload the database back to the web server. With SQL Server it is possible to link to tables remotely in Access, though I found the control I had over the remote SQL Server was very limited. For these reasons I decided to create a web-based application that would solve these problems and would be a tool that other web-database developers could utilize in their projects.
